Congratulations on the purchase of your new bed.
Please register your purchase and ensure we have your purchase details in the unlikely event of a claim under the Whanganui Beds warranty.
It will ensure we have your details should they be needed in the future. We appreciate you providing us with as much information as you can but will understand if you prefer not to answer all of the questions.
All information will be collected and processed in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 1993.
Whanganui Beds offers a XX-year guarantee on key elements of your bed. The warranty does not apply to mattresses used without our box spring, and excludes toppers.
Failure to follow the care instructions will invalidate your warranty. It is important you register your bed within one month of purchase.
1.1 If you wish to claim under this warranty please contact our showroom at the address that follows giving full details of the defect including your name, address and proof of purchase. [copy of receipt and address details to accompany]

1.2 We will then discuss with you whether a repair or replacement will be offered. Whether your bed is repaired or replaced will be at our sole discretion.
1.3 You will be told the cost of repairing or replacing your bed which, in the event of a repair shall be at cost price and, in the event or a replacement will be at the manufacturer’s retail price at the date of replacement.
1.4 You will then be given the option of proceeding with the claim. If you wish to do so, you will be required to make your contribution to the cost of the repair or replacement in accordance with the terms of the warranty before the repair or replacement is made.
1.5 Regarding your bed repair, we will collect your bed from you and return it to you once it is repaired free of charge.
2.1 Before agreeing to replace or repair your bed under this warranty we reserve the right to require that it is returned to us.
2.2 We reserve the right to refuse to replace or repair your bed;
(a) Where the defect is due to causes other than faulty materials or workmanship; or
(b) Where it is soiled or in an unsanitary condition; or
(c) Where the defect is due to the mattress being used on an unsuitable base.
(d) Where the gaps on a slatted bases are in excess of 70mm.
(e) We regret that when repairing or replacing your bed under this warranty we must reserve the right to use alternative specifications or materials which may not match other items in a set.
3.1 This warranty applies to you only and may not be transferred.
3.2 This warranty will be governed by New Zealand Law.
